John Howard presents several themed exhibitions each year.
Past exhibitions have been titled;
"Pot Dogs"........an exhibition of the various canines produced by the Staffordshire potters in the 19th century.
"Howards Pottery Menagerie"....a collection of British ceramic animal figures from the 18th and 19th century.
"If these pots could talk"....profiled British pottery from the 18th/19th century items which told there own story.
"Primitive Brilliance."..an exhibition of one of the largest collections of English Prattware pottery from c1785/1837.
Quarterly period exhibitions are planned for the future and will provide a showcase for the best and rarest items of British pottery from the 18th and 19th centuries. An Exhibition already planned for 2008 is titled "The cream of British Pottery" and will profile 18th century English creamware pottery including pieces from the famous Wedgwood and Leeds Potteries. |
